Fort Wayne Metals needs a Sales & Marketing Analyst Intern to work on a variety of projects with our Sales & Marketing team. We are looking for a student with strong oral and written communication skills, some experience with power business intelligence and strong project management skills. This is a fall internship; the selected student should expect to work 10-20 hours a week during the fall semester. School is the priority so we will work with the selected Intern to determine a work schedule that is mutually beneficial.
Sales Data Dictionary and Metrics Definitions
Overview: Work with sales on designing, formatting, and integration of a sales data dictionary for reporting and analytics.
Goals: Improve definitions around sales metrics and data governance.
Research/Implement New Sales and Revenue Analytics
Overview: Research metrics in similar industries we are currently not using, provide short term and long term feasibility about metrics as compared with our data, clean data as needed and help determine if metrics are relevant to FWM. Prioritize metrics for implementation.
Goal: Improve sales metrics.
Sales Reporting Analytics Training
Overview: Develop training around sales reporting and power business intelligence (BI) reports for commercial team.
Goal: Help train our commercial team on power BI reports.
2nd or 3rd year Informatics, Information Systems, Data Management (or like degree) major
Interest/some experience in business intelligence
Computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
Strong attention to details and accuracy
Analytical ability for troubleshooting and providing creative solutions
Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people
Strong project management skills
