The Chief Technology Office (CTO) is leading the transformation in a multi-cloud technology landscape by developing and delivering innovative products that delight our customers and speed to market banking products to our customers.
The Development and Cloud Enablement (DCE) team within CTO has a critical role in driving this transformation. We are looking for four (4) Senior Technology Strategiy Leaders with expertise in DevOps products to drive transformation of enterprise practices. As key technical leaders in crafting and delivering the DevSecOps and CI/CD Pipeline strategy for the enterprise, they are expected to define and implement an executable automation roadmap and product strategy for DevSecOps functionalities and practices, act as internal consultants to drive automation across the SDLC, and integrate with state of the art tooling and platforms. With full support from senior management, these are transformation driver roles which will directly impact how development will happen at Wells Fargo.
In order to most effectively drive delivery of the DevSecOps and CI/CD Pipeline strategy, these roles will have the following defined product focus:
Two (2) of the roles will primarily focus on the portal strategy and backlog for the DevSecOps Portal product; this is a strategic tool which will replace multiple fragmented service tools into a single platform.
Two (2) of the roles will primarily focus on test automation, as well as regulatory controls automation into the CI/CD pipeline. Testing and regulatory controls automation are both key to delivery of the CI/CD product strategy.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Apply subject matter expertise in DevOps and CI/CD engineering.
Define the product strategy, product requirements and management of the backlog, as well as authoring the acceptance criteria. Pipeline/backlog automation will include a UI portal and Metrics Dashboard capabilities of the enterprise pipeline.
Partner across various stakeholders like development teams, architecture, control owners and other cross-functional teams to deliver the product automation backlog.
Represent the Product Management team in daily standups, product meetings, design sessions, sprint planning, retrospective and other cross-functional meetings.
Convey thorough understanding of the product strategy as well as help in defining it.
Release prioritization and identification/mitigation of potential blockers and issues, as well as ensuring the delivery is aligned to the overall roadmap and product strategy.
Act as the product champion within the organization with clear in-depth technical understanding of all features, functionality, and industry trends.
Evaluate new products to get key outcomes where necessary, as well as re-evaluate new ways of using existing capabilities.
Create and manage a “Community Influencer” group to maintain high level of engagement with the consumers of the product.
Partner with technical writers and other communication leads to develop content for demos, trainings and other presentations.
Attend key industry conferences combined continuous research of the latest modern tools, technologies and trends.
Preference is for selected candidate to work within a specific Wells Fargo location: New York-NY. Other locations may be considered include: Summit-NJ, Dallas-TX, Phoenix-AZ and San Francisco-CA. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
12+ years of technology experience
5+ years of strategic planning in a technology environment
3+ years of leadership experience in a technology environment
3+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments
3+ years of Agile experience
Experience managing large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
10+ years of Java experience
Secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers
Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
2+ years of product strategy development experience
Experience applying new technologies to business needs in a technologically innovative , change-driven organization
Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives enterprise-wide
Experience with a customer service mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as; policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security
Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
Other Desired Qualifications
2+ years of experience with DevOps automation development using Groovy and Python
Experience with modern DevOps tool such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, PKS
Experienced with container solution implementations, preferably Docker or Kubernetes
Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
