This position qualifies for a $1,500.00 signing bonus following 90 days of employment. In order to receive the bonus you must be an active employee on the date of distribution. The bonus is subject to normal tax and withholding requirements.
General Position Summary & Responsibilities:
The EAM Administrator (EA) reports directly to the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor. The EA will support the purchasing and maintenance departments. The EA will assist in planning and organizing preventative maintenance work orders and repair work orders. The EA will need to interact with all departments to ensure that parts, supplies and resources are available to accomplish work assignments within the plant in a timely manner. The EA will also be responsible for learning the company’s ORACLE system in order to fill in as needed.
This position operates within well defined parameters. The primary goal of this position is to achieve excellence in all facets of maintenance. Providing the highest quality product safely, effectively and efficiently decreases accidents and errors and increase profits.
1) Environmental and Health & Safety (H&S)
a) Providing a safe environment for all employees, customers and visitors.
2) Operational Performance & Best Business Practices
a) Coordinates with multiple locations as to the proper use and implantation of Oracle EAM system, its components and modules.
b) Generates accurate and detailed reports as to the costs associated to a particular asset, department, facility or equipment history as needed.
c) Generates a monthly fuel report for gallons consumed across the region.
d) Generates a monthly Work Order Cost Summary Report for the region.
e) Reviews and monitors comment section on operators reports and logs any repairs needed.
f) Creates and maintains inventory for mobile and stationary equipment. Creates new Oracle inventory numbers as needed.
g) Ensures maintenance related requisitions are filled out properly before forwarding them to the Purchasing Agent for processing.
h) Assists in expediting requisitions in the open status and all open purchases orders that have been placed but not yet received.
i) Works with the Purchasing department to ensure that the original packing slips are obtained and matched with the original purchase order for processing.

3) Equipment Maintenance
a) Assign equipment to appropriate department and/or location.
b) Coordinates repairs and services in such a manner as to cause minimal impact to production in the department it is assigned to.
c) Reviews inventory issued work orders and adds to asset BOM.
d) Generate work orders through the Maintenance Workbench and forecast/plan the PM services for the night shift.
e) Work with the Fixed Asset Department to ensure proper placement of equipment for depreciation.
f) Review fuel and lubes entered as dispensed to equipment.
g) Reviews work orders daily with the Maintenance Manager to close out any completed jobs that were missing through technician submissions.
4) Administrative Management
a) Trains new maintenance support employees on the EAM Oracle system.
b) Builds all new employees into the EAM Oracle system and updates their loaded hourly rates.
c) Creates, maintains, and deactivates as necessary assets in asset list.
5) Special Projects
a) Special projects as assigned.

Workload is cyclical and can present significant time pressures when strict adherence to deadlines is critical. Workload is often reactive and cannot be anticipated or planned for. Often many extra hours are required, weekend, weekday and holidays. Exposure to physical operations at metal recycling yards.
Occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions. Work pressure can be substantial during peak times, requiring considerable adaptability; disturbances of work flow, and/or irregularities in work schedule are expected and occur on an intermittent basis. Regular overtime is required.

Ability to: lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally; sit for extended periods of time, up to 6-8 hours per day; write by hand and keyboard for extended periods of time, up to 6-8 hours per day; assemble papers, paper punch, staple, file; apply sufficient force to open and close file drawers. Ability to communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Communication is primarily by phone, email and sometimes in person, with other departments within the Schnitzer Group. Visual acuity needed for close detail work, preparing and analyzing data figures, accounting, and computer use.
High school degree or equivalent. 2-5 years administrative experience. This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive an automobile.
Proficiency in all Windows XP applications, including Outlook; typing and 10-key competency; accuracy and attention to detail; excellent professional, oral and written communication skills with all levels of personnel and customers. Ability to: prioritize multiple projects, work well in a time sensitive environment, follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form, and deal with problems involving several specific variables in or from standard situations. Needs to be flexible.
