Job Summary:
The focus of the Volunteer Assistant is to assist the Volunteer Coordinator in obtaining volunteers and building and strengthening 4KIDS relationships with volunteers.

Job Duties:
Assist the Volunteer Coordinator in all of the following duties as needed:
Help develop the goals and strategic plans for the 4KIDS Volunteer Program
Work closely with all 4KIDS departments to accomplish the mission statement of the organization through volunteer servants
Serve as a point person for orienting, screening, placing and renewing volunteers for all 4KIDS departments
Oversee the volunteer application process
Receive and process all applicants
Run clearances for all volunteers and update annually
Assist with recruitment efforts within the community
Manage files of active, inactive, and potential volunteers
Maintain volunteer database through Raiser's Edge
Manage information in keeping track of volunteers, volunteer positions, positions open and positions most needed to fill
Meet monthly with each department to verify needs of their program area as well as update each department regarding which volunteers are eligible to serve
Assist in obtaining volunteers for events, church tables, gatherings, projects, etc.
Assist each department on the day of events as required
Maintain a flexible schedule to allow for after-hours coverage at Vision Tours, events, etc.
Work with each department to develop an on-going process for volunteer appreciation
Help coordinate, clear, and maintain volunteers for monthly Kids Night Out program
Attend monthly Kids Night Out program every third Friday night of the month to oversee volunteers
Oversee the intern application and onboarding process, running their clearances and ensuring that required documents are filled out completely
Assist in FAM program as needed
Other duties as required

Job Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of experience in an administrative position
Familiarity with foster care or social services is helpful but not required
Excellent organizational and office management skills
Ability to function with minimum supervision
Able to multi-task while prioritizing appropriately
Highly efficient in Microsoft Office
Able to learn new programs or databases without major oversight
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have working Android or iPhone that can be utilized for work purposes
Must have a valid Florida driver license and vehicle that can be utilized daily
