Tomax Logistics LLC is a new office establishing operations in South Lake Union, Seattle.

Founded in Australia in 1987 and with offices in Australia, China and Hong Kong, Tomax Logistics LLC is looking to expand operations into the USA and is now seeking applicants for the role of Logistics Coordinator.

Tomax Logistics is a full service logistics provider offering international sea and air services to a vast array of clients and products not only in our resident countries but with the aid of an extensive partner network, right around the globe.

Commencing operations as part of a small team, the successful applicant will be someone with a minimum three to four years’ experience working within NVOCC freight forwarding companies and looking to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for daily compliance with legislation and regulation in arranging import and export seafreight and airfreight shipments.

Working with the USA CEO as an integral part of a small team, the successful person will be across all aspects of the day-to-day operations including customer service, daily file management, quoting, billing and overseas office liaison.

Key tasks associated with the role will include but not limited to

  • Coordinate all aspects of the shipment lifecycle including quote, book, documentation, invoicing and overseas office liaison
  • Completion of AES reporting and other regulations as required to meet compliance
  • Liaison with clients, shipping lines, transport companies, Customs and brokers as required to facilitate the shipping process

Qualifications

The successful applicant will have 3-4 years minimum experience working in the forwarding industry with a strong operations background.

Experience with CargoWise One would be an advantage but not mandatory. A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including word and excel is required as is a general knowledge of Customs Regulations and the Harmonized Tariff.

A strong customer service commitment and positive attitude is mandatory
