Girling Home Care of NY is looking for an experienced and reliable CHHA Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee Manhattan. The Field Supervisor will be responsible for assisting with staff education, training and development. The staff will receive continuing education, in-services and training (in-house or in the fields) to further develop and maintain competence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Knowledge of OASIS guidance, interpretation and time points
2. Knowledgeable of CHHA Regulatory guidelines per Center for Medicare and Medicaid, New York State Department of Health (DOH) and Joint Commission (JC)
3. Assist with orientation of the new staff on Girling Health Care’s policies and procedures
4. Accompany the new staff into the field post orientation, conducts random field visits and complete the annual performance evaluations and accompany the staff during survey visits
5. Knowledge of Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) reports and utilize and conduct for staff performance
6. Assists in the screening and interviewing process of new organization personnel and makes recommendations for employment of individuals. Assists in the orientation of new organization personnel.
7. Assists the Educator in the planning, implementation and evaluation of in-service and continuing education programs.
8. Reviews patient’s clinical diagnosis, medications, procedures and clinical course.
9. Assists clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term therapeutic goals, in setting priorities, and in developing plan of care.
10. Participate in McKesson/Netsmart Software Upgrade, Testing and Staff Education.
11. Participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities
12. Participate in the Agency’s Emergency Preparedness Plan
13. Complies with acceptable professional standards and practice.
Nurse Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; ADN or BSN
- CHHA Homecare experience is required
- Up-to-date knowledge of OASIS
- Must have current NYS license and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- Must have a vehicle to travel to patients
- Bi-Lingual preferred (but, not a requirement)

Salary Range: 115,000 - 120,000
