We're looking for a Health & Nutrition Manager to join our Growth Team! This person will plan, design and manage a health professional outreach program that cultivates belief and advocacy in the brand and the Concord grape. This includes representing Welch's on key trade association committees to influence industry plans and engaging in relevant thought leader dialogue to advocate for the healthiness of Concord grapes and 100% grape juice.
What You'll Do:
Develop, lead and execute health professional relationships and partnerships; including key registered dieticians and nutrition influencers
Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop consumer facing communication strategy for building awareness of the health benefits delivered by the Concord grape
Serve as the face of Welch's health and nutrition program, functioning as a spokesperson in support of consumer, media and customer outreach
Collaborate with innovation and R&D teams to enrich product design by providing nutrition expertise to help in the creation of concepts, claims and new products
Work with regulatory and legal to ensure product and messaging compliance
Initiate scientific support to maintain the role of 100% fruit juice in future dietary guidance; including substantiating future and defending current grape nutrition based product claims
Function as Welch's external voice in Nutrition and Government affairs
Who You Are:
Must have outstanding functional skills in nutrition science and communications.
Must be a strong writer and communicator, and have experience in understanding and translating scientific research into simple, accurate, consumer-friendly messages.
Must have knowledge and experience working with labeling regulations in the US.
Must have experience with consumer communications and health professional/influencer outreach. Established relationships within the nutrition community is preferred.
Must be able to think strategically.
Must influence effectively.
Must have superb project management skills and be detail-oriented.
What You'll Need:
MS in nutrition or related field or certified Registered Dietician
5-7 years of experience in a nutrition or health communication role; 2-3 years must be in the food & beverage industry
Up to 30% travel required
