CDL-A LICENSE REQUIRED WITH RECENT 2 YEAR DRIVING EXPERIENCE!! We are hiring experienced OTR flatbed/step deck and lowboy company drivers and owner operators in the NC, SC, GA, and VA area.
Compensation Packages and Benefits
OTR Company Driver – (Southeast)
OTR Option 1 – Yearly Salary
- 5-6 Axles - $65,000 Annual ($1,250 per week)
- 7 Axles - $70,000 Annual ($1,350 per week)
- 8 Axles - $75,400 Annual ($1,450 per week)
- Must be available to work Monday thru Saturday. If Saturday evening layover is required, driver will receive $250 weekend pay
- 6 Paid Holidays
OTR Option 2 - Commission
- Drivers receive a 28% commission on line-haul for all loads hauled
- Drivers also receive 28% commission on selected accessorial charges, such as tarping, detention, and tipboard charges
Additional Pay Items for OTR Company Drivers
- $1000 Orientation Pay Per Week ($200 per day) + Hotel Option if needed
- 12 Days’ Vacation/PTO (6 Month Waiting Period)
- Annual Bonus based on tenure – Less than 3 years $1,250, 3 years or more $2,000
- Weekly Per Diem of $80.00
- Annual Safety Bonus - $200 per quarter and additional $500 if all 4 quarters received
- Annual Equipment Reimbursement - $500 (PPE & Cell Phone)
- 90% Employer Paid Health Insurance for Employee & 60% for Spouse/Dependents (30 Day waiting period)

- YTC Drivers are home more than 95% of weekends annually
Owner Operator - OTR
- Tractor Only receive a 67% commission on line-haul for all loads hauled, also receive 67% commission on selected accessorial charges, such as tarping, detention, and tipboard charges
- Tractor & Trailer receive a 77% commission on line-haul for all loads hauled, also receive 77% commission on selected accessorial charges, such as tarping, detention, and tipboard charges
- Receive 100% of the fuel surcharge for each load delivered
- Discounted fuel prices and YTC fuel card to purchase fuel on credit
- Single Trip Permit and Annual Blanket Permits at no cost
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Valid truck driving license
