Mount Mercy University is seeking candidates to fill the position of Academic Records Specialist in the Office of the Registrar. This position reports to the Registrar and is a full-time, exempt position.
The position’s primary responsibilities are to respond to internal and external requests for information about institutional policies and procedures and to provide logistical and staff support for a variety of institutional tasks, including transcript requests, database operations, registration, records maintenance, special events, athletic eligibility, and veteran’s benefits. This position also serves as a primary customer service representative for the Registrar’s Office. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be attentive to detail, and be experienced in working in a database.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Microsoft Word and Excel skills sufficient to support document management and manipulation of data
Capacity for sustained attention to detail and confidentiality
Ability to work well with others in a team environment
Ability to communicate clearly
Experience in higher education preferred
