Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

- Payroll processing (long term), accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting and budgeting, bank statement reconciliation and cash control, and maintaining general ledger accurately and efficiently using QuickBooks

File monthly sales tax returns from QuickBooks data, and file/process other tax-related materials (in conjunction with business accountant and partners)

Inputting all income & expenses in QB, as well as reconciling bank accounts on a monthly basis

- Invoicing for loans and demonstrations, and maintain required database entries

- Produce regular financial budgets, reports and analyses for Executive Director and Board of Directors, including budgets for grant proposals as needed

- Maintain files, manage benefits payments, and explain benefits to individual staff members when necessary


Proven track record of successful bookkeeping skills

- Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel

- Experience in accounting needed

- Proven ability to work independently

- Knowledgeable of technology and/or consulting accounting is desired

- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to learn new tasks

Basic HR experience is appreciated but not required

This position is 2-3 days a week on the upstart, then ideally 3-4 hours (1 day) a week. Must be available for consultation if needed as well when not working.
