Job Summary
The Fleet Manager position is extremely critical to Dutch Maid Logistics’ success as it has the most direct link with our most important resources, which are our drivers. While continuously improving our safety culture, this position requires the ability to build trusting and lasting relationships with our drivers to deliver our customers’ freight in a the most safe and timely manner. The Fleet Manager strives to provide the highest level of service to both internal and external customers, makes decisions to maximize the operation’s performance and be a positive contributing member of the team.
Job Duties
- Always answer the phone and respond to driver messaging in a timely manner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with each driver and always maintain a professional, respectful demeanor when communicating with the drivers.
- Manage driver performance standards and metrics.
- Achieve key operational & financial metrics and maintain monthly KPI’s while reporting on variances for the same.
- Proactively anticipates, analyzes, and troubleshoots problems with deliveries aligning with DOT compliant solutions while being cost effective.
- Document driver disciplinary issues and refer for disciplinary action when appropriate
- Review Internal processes for compliance and controls
Experience in fleet management and supervision management
- Previous personnel management is a plus, but not required.
- Thorough knowledge of DOT, FMCSR, HOS Rules and regulations
- Experience with TMS and ELD Systems
- Previous truck driving experience a plus
- Must possess excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and in a variety of cultures.
- Ability to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks and removing obstacles.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
