Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Mauna Kea Tour Guide to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups of visitors through various attractions, providing them with engaging and informative narratives about the history, culture, and significance of each location. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for education, and the ability to create memorable experiences for guests.
Duties
- Conduct guided tours for groups of maximum 12 pax sizes, ensuring an enjoyable and informative experience.
- Educate visitors about the historical and cultural aspects of the Mauna Kea and Big Island.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and concerns from guests promptly and professionally.
- Drive 4x4 van to the summit and conduct a safe tour
- Utilize public speaking skills to deliver engaging presentations that captivate audiences.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages interaction and participation from guests.
- Take a photo of the guest using the DSLR camera which can be leased from the company at the beginning
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Proficient public speaking skills with the ability to engage audiences effectively.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- A passion for educating others and sharing knowledge about local history and culture.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
