General: The caseworker will maintain a caseload of the mental health population in Anderson and Cherokee counties that requires psychosocial rehabilitative services. Provides individuals, family, and group psychosocial rehabilitative skills training to consumer assigned by the Authority Unit of ACCESS. Maintain good public relations throughout the community. The caseworker will provide case management services by assessing needs, developing treatment goals, utilizing community resources, developing social support systems, and other appropriated services to benefit the consumer. Caseworker may work backup to crisis worker as necessary.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in human services field; previous experience working with mental illness; working with families and utilizing community services. Bilingual preferred. Computer skills required, with electronic record keeping. Must have valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under Center policy. Must be able to complete SAMA and CPR/1st Aid training.
Hours: Generally Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Hours may vary based on need.
Salary: $14.90/hr, plus benefits.
