SUMMARY OF PROGRAM/PROJECT
Technatomy’s role is to provide system sustainment, upgrades and enhancements, and software testing and quality assurance, configuration and change management disciplines.
Minimum Requirements per contract:
The Lead Developer has experience with the design and development of software and hardware solutions in the private or public sector. The developer will also research, test, build and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products or functional requirements based on client input. In addition, he/she will design and develop software enhancements to existing software.
POSITION DESCRIPTION (Duties and Responsibilities):
This is a full-time position that requires a combination of strong technical skills working in a distributed team environment. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and a creative team player with a track record of technical thought leadership.
Is expected to develop a firm comprehension of the customers’ requirements and issues and participate in creating approaches that highlight strengths and mitigate weaknesses.
Has overall responsibility for the development, maintenance and execution of project software in accordance with the Quality Assurance Plan, testing plans and reports, and the development of documentation and implementation of procedures that conform to the requirements of the contract.
Provides an independent assessment of how the project's software development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommends methods to optimize the organization’s process.
Provides guidance to team members on application development and sustainment matters.
Works collaboratively to develop and implement procedures and test plans for assuring quality in a system development environment, which supports large databases and applications.
Is responsible for investigating and developing Web Inspect and Fortify findings.Will be expected to provide responses to support inquiries from IA team regarding RMF requirements for maintaining ATO.
Provides status reporting to PM in format prescribed to support meeting contract reporting requirements. Reporting intervals: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and as required.
Supports Peer reviews for program documentation and deliverables.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - REQUIRED:
Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio
Experience using .NET, C sharp, HTML 5, and vb.net
Working knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), preferably in an Agile environment
Awareness of security-related best programming practices
Using development techniques that enhance the user experience
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated programming experience in providing high level enterprise applications and associated database support
Experience in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and delivery of programming tasks
Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements
Ability to work in team-oriented environment. [Size is currently four FTEs.]
Excellent writing skills, and proficient in documentation using Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio
Excellent and proactive interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated, team player with attention to detail
Ability to follow schedule and meet deadlines
Requirements management process in SDLC environments (Waterfall and Agile)
Software Experience (5+ years preferred)
Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 through current
T-SQL (Stored Procedures)
Team Foundation Server
Interacting with and coding to Oracle Database Servers
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - DESIRED:
Experience with DoD / DLA software lifecycle sustainment
Experience with MS Team Foundation Server
Experience with Remedy
Experience in configuration, change and release management disciplines
Testing Web portal and user experience code
Experience in migrating between .NET frameworks, i.e. .NET 2.0 to .NET 4.6.1
Education and Experience (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in Information Technology and 5+ years in the role of Developer, preferably on DOD/DLA programs
Required: Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification
Required within 6 months after start date
U.S. Citizenship required, and ability to maintain a DoD security clearance.
Work Locations: Virtual environment. No Government onsite spaces for this contract.
