With a hands-on approach, you will drive all aspects of delivery to support a federal cloud computing environment, including Workplace.gov Community Cloud (WC2), software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, web applications, and managed services. We are looking for a project manager who will use equal parts skill and vision to lead a diverse technical team that supports web managed services to the federal government. This is an opportunity to meet challenges in the cloud web services community by leading a delivery team to support a portfolio of websites, tools, and applications hosted on the WC2 environment. You will work with cloud developers, software engineers, and security experts to create cost efficiencies, drive process improvement, and eliminate service overlaps. By managing all aspects of projects from planning through execution, you will serve as the project team leader and strive to meet product delivery, quality, and budget goals. You ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues by assisting team members with aspects of their job, as needed, including guiding the activities of others on a set of defined tasks. By working both independently and collaboratively, you develop expertise in consulting and deliver high-quality work products to support projects while providing regular updates and work products to a manager on project or account status. 3+ years of experience with project management, including software development life cycle and mitigating risk, identifying scope creep, and managing project timelines
3+ years of experience with delivering large scale projects and deliverables to clients
3+ years of experience with developing and maintaining client relationships
Knowledge of DevOps, Cloud provisioning, Managed Services, and the Security Accreditation process
Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to obtain a security clearance
BA or BS degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with the management of complex technology projects, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management
Experience with Microsoft Office and Project
Experience with multiple project management methodologies
Ability to anticipate customer requirements and build strategic plans
Possession of excellent analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentation skills.
MA or MS degree
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
