Position Summary
WFS is currently looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Coordinator for our Education Program . This position seeks to provide on- site supervision, support, coaching and mentoring to the nursing staff in conjunction with the nursing supervisor. The nursing coordinator will oversee the day to day nursing services at the school sites. The position will also provide coverage and back up as caseloads require. The nursing coordinator will be responsible for managing and assigning coverage for school based nursing services. This position will also function as a resource for necessary nursing services across the microenterprise. This position will also cover nursing services over the summer months.
Responsibilities and Duties (full description available at https://wfspa.org )
· Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents and their families/guardians/care givers/supports
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and have the awareness of when to seek guidance or supervision
· Knowledgeable in biological, pharmacological, social and behavioral sciences relevant to child and adolescent psychiatric nursing
· Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations relative to child/adolescent behavioral health and school nursing
· Critical observation, assessment and reporting skills
· Knowledge of available community resources for incorporation into the treatment plan
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing orRegistered Nurse
Experience: Minimum of 3 years psychiatric nursing experience. Supervisory/management experience preferred.
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances
Act 33/34 (PA State Criminal and Child Abuse) Clearances
FBI Clearance (prepared by PDE)
Valid PA driver’s license
Pennsylvania Department of Education PK-12 certification

Qualifications and Skills
Education
RN or BSN from an accredited university or school of nursing
Psychiatric focus preferred
Experience
Minimum of 3 years nursing experience with children and adolescents with mental health disorders
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances
Licensed in PA as RN
PA State and FBI criminal background clearances, current within one year at time of hire
PA Child Abuse clearance, current within one year at time of hire
Valid PA drivers’ license
