POSITION SUMMARY

Lewis Price is currently seeking a Multi-Media Specialist to support our client, the Defense Information School (DINFOS). DINFOS is a United States Department of Defense (DoD) school located at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. DINFOS fulfills the Department of Defense's need for an internal corps of professional journalists, broadcasters, and public affairs professionals.

The Multi-Media Specialist under general direction incorporates advanced multimedia technology such as graphic design, multimedia authoring, website-oriented media integration, advance publishing (e.g. color separation, advanced image processing and design), digital video acquisition and production, professional media acquisition (e.g., high-end scanning and color matching, digital photography, scientific imaging, three-dimensional digitalization), and/or two- or three-dimensional animation and visualization to support DINFOS web presence.

Functions may include analyzing systems requirements, design, validating data acquisition and output media/formats, designing user interfaces, developing and maintaining websites, interactive applications, simulations, video/audio streaming, and creating instructional media content used to support online, blended and face-to-face courses.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
Design and develop multimedia-based layouts, graphics, animation, video, and online tutorials for DINFOS website.

Perform technical duties in the production of web-based video and audio projects, video streaming, and other multimedia productions.

Troubleshoot, test, and analyze technical problem and determine solution.

Provide technical consultation to faculty, staff, and students.

Work collaboratively with instructors, web content manager, web developers, content writers, and other colleagues to develop creative multimedia materials for courses and websites.

Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across multiple curriculum development projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
BA Degree in relevant Graphic Design/Web Development field such as:

Animation

Graphic Design

Communication Design

Digital Media Engineering

Media Arts

>Multimedia Systems/Web Engineering

>Print and Digital Media Management

Visual Communication and Design

Advanced coursework in multimedia, graphic design, and web development/design.

Must have 5-7 years of experience in a graphic design role at a web design /marketing/advertising agency.

Progressively responsible experience in the conceptualization, design, and production of animation, graphics, multimedia, audio/videos; experience in a non-linear video and audio editing/production and/or Web development environment.

Expertise in designing for multi-channel placements (print, web, email and more).

Eye for typography, composition, layout, color, high-quality production with pixel-level attention to detail.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and InDesign).

Video and audio editing software including Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Motion, Compressor).

Experience with content management platforms.
