What you will do:
The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager is a key member on the People & Culture team and will partner with the EVP of P&C and Director of Talent to design the learning strategy and employee development programs at Tillamook. The strategy should support our commitment to personal and professional development and prepares our talent for future challenges. Working side by side with the Director of Talent and EVP of People & Culture, this role will work closely with leaders throughout the business to assess the learning and development needs, formulate and execute relevant and innovative solutions that support the career professional development and talent management objectives. This role will have an important leadership role over the lifecycle of L&D, from ideation to execution. This role is an internally customer facing position working with all levels of the organization.
Here’s a day in the life:
Consult with leaders throughout the organization to assess, develop and execute strategic learning plans that align with achieving business goals and demonstrate a commitment to our culture
Partner with other efforts in the organization to leverage learning resources (i.e. continuous improvement, Proscii, Agile)
Utilizing a partnership mindset, work with HR business partner and talent team to understand employee development priorities and create relevant solutions.
Design, develop, execute meaningful and solution-oriented learning strategies for leadership development and management skills
Review, assess and make recommendations on external learning partners and solutions and work with partners to execute the plan
Maximize the potential of technology (including digital learning solutions) to bring high quality development opportunities in a cost effective manner to the organization.
Develop and manage the L&D budget and experience with vendor management and coordination of external and internal resources for delivery
Contribute toward the development of an effective onboarding experience across the organization and identify effective strategies for learning the business and culture.
Provide organizational development and other support for key initiatives and/or projects
Oversee coaching offerings, ensuring that team members are aware of and connected to our coaching resources and coaches are vetted and supported effectively
Implement and facilitate organizational, team and individual assessment process for leadership development including interpretation, action planning and coaching (eg. 360 assessments, Strengths Finder, etc).
Skills you’ll need:
BS or BA. Advanced degree considered a plus
Certification in one or more leadership assessment or psychometric instruments (examples may include 360, Strengths Finder, Myers Briggs, Hogan)
Minimum 5 years combination senior corporate learning and organizational development experience
Comprehensive knowledge of organizational development theory and practice, adult learning theory, styles, and motivation techniques; change management, assessments, curriculum design, training facilitation and delivery.
Excellent time management skills, creative ability, project management skills, consultative skills, writing proficiency, and visual graphics.
Skilled at identifying problems, developing effective solutions, execute on a course of action, and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization.
Strong interpersonal skills as exhibited by the ability to influence others, gather information from individuals and groups, and build collaborative relationships both with HR and across the organization with individuals at all levels.
Working with business and project leaders and quickly getting their trust, so they see you as a business partner and problem finder and solver.
Strong project management skills including gathering and communicating key metrics.
Understanding what it means to develop a growth mindset, how and why to leverage different learning models and ways to measuring their impact.
