USC Keck School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, is seeking an experienced Research Associate to join its team to pursue cutting-edge research on cancer and stem cell epigenetics . The incumbent will serve as a project lead focusing on DNA base modification systems and cancer epigenetics.
The incumbent requires deep expertise in Biochemistry, including protein isolation, immunoprecipitation, immunoblotting and enzymatic assays; Molecular biology, including RT-qPCR and Illumina library preparation; Cell culture, including transfection, harvesting and cell lysis; as well as immunohistochemistry, microscopy and digital imaging for publication using Photoshop and s Powerpoint.
The Research Associate will plan, design and conduct highly technical and complex research projects independently, analyze and interpret research data in consultation with the laboratory director, and contribute to the development of research documentation for publication.
The Keck School of Medicine Department of Pathology is one of the largest pathology departments in the United States. The Department aims to shape the future of pathology and disease treatment as it will be practiced in community hospitals, academic medical centers and clinical laboratories throughout the country.

Starting salary: $49, 920.00 (2019) with expected annual increases.
