About the job
Google Assistant is a conversation between you and Google that works seamlessly throughout your day — at home or on the go. Just ask your Assistant questions and let it help you get things done.
People turn to Google Assistant in their homes, in their cars and on their phones to get things done, whether it’s helping their kids with homework, getting ready for work in the morning, or making a dinner reservation for date night.
As a Director or Assistant Analytics and Engineering, you will be highly experienced, a dynamic leader that takes responsibility for engineering and analytics for the Google Assistant. In this role, you will take holistic leadership of a team of engineers and strategy analysts.
Google is and always will be an engineering company. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to take on some of technology's greatest challenges and make an impact on millions, if not billions, of users. At Google, engineers not only revolutionize search, they routinely work on massive scalability and storage solutions, large-scale applications and entirely new platforms for developers around the world. From Google Ads to Chrome, Android to YouTube, Social to Local, Google engineers are changing the world one technological achievement after another.
Use detailed user analytics and strategic macro-analytics to understand trend and user behaviors and help drive product quality, design directions, as well as our overall strategy.
Lead engineering for experiments, analytics and visualization, including the science, tools, and process of measuring and helping us drive towards an outstanding Assistant experience for users across a wide range of surfaces, use cases, languages, and contexts.
Drive forward the science of measuring digital assistants and the quality of the user experience - including what data we use and how it is analyzed and turned into actionable metrics, and driving innovation around how we can more effectively understand (and thus improve) users' experiences with the Google Assistant across the huge range of devices, task context, personal, and environmental context, etc.
