Responsible for planning, designing, executing and analyzing custom research as well as custom analytic deep dives using tracking data, both primary and secondary within Walgreens to support the company vision of creating a customer-centric culture. Provide thought leadership by synthesizing research findings into actionable insights, driving the creation of products and/or customer-facing programs. Able to thrive in a fast-paced culture and to flawlessly manage multiple research projects and integrate data from multiple sources.
Define and translate business goals into a Consumer Research plan (short and long-term) with actionable strategies. Serve as single point of contact in coordinating the consumer research needs of one or more business groups and vendor partners. Works collaboratively with Insights (analytics), strategic modeling, loyalty, other business group insights leaders, manufacturers and research vendors and provides consumer research to support overall insights.
Directs the development of primary research and incorporates secondary sources to help tell a full consumer story. Works with and helps manage the relationship with primary consumer research vendors such as Qualtrics, Ipsos, Directions and ForeSee and secondary vendors such as Mintel, The Futures Company and Forrester.
Advises and makes actionable recommendations to cross functional teams on strategic initiatives related to developing a customer-focused organization.
Writes succinct and impactful reports with strong business recommendations for our cross functional partners.
Manages vendor relationships in order to have flawless execution and continuous improvement to better serve our business.
Builds an in-depth understanding of a specific business group that relies heavily on primary research to be able to drive the consumer understanding through the organization.

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of experience in Consumer Research OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience conducting business analysis.
At least 1 year of project management experience (planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
At least 1 year experience in primary and secondary research.
At least 1 year experience using business analytical skills including facilitating requirements sessions and documenting activity workflows and business requirements.
Retail, CPG, and/or Health and wellness knowledge.
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Experience in retail / healthcare industry
Experience in business to business, multi-cultural and/or ecommerce marketing
3 years of project management experience (planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
3 years experience in primary and secondary research with a mix of qualitative and quantitative consumer research experience.
Experience in defining and translating business goals into a Consumer Research plan (short and long-term) with actionable strategies.
Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues, recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
