Epic Games Unreal Engine team is looking for a smart, creative Engineering Intern to join them for the 2019 summer in Cary, North Carolina! You’ll specifically work with the Niagara VFX team, applying modern rendering and simulation techniques to push the boundaries of what is possible in real-time visual effects.

Your days will include:
Working closely with effects artists for new features and capabilities for the Niagara runtime, taking full advantage of the hardware available
Bug fixing and maintaining the existing Unreal Engine 4 code base
Helping develop new features in the Niagara Visual Effects system
Streamlining the user experience for Unreal Engine 4
Degree work in CS, VFX or related fields
Strong working knowledge of C++
Experience with HLSL compute shader development
Fluid simulation, particle simulation, and general examples of graphic work ideal
An established interest in UI design and development
We would like to see samples of your technical work online (Github, personal site, etc.)
Demonstrated understanding of VFX in a game engine a plus
This is a paid internship, running May 28 through August 16. All candidates must be eligible to work 40 hours per week on site in Cary, NC.
