Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator – Chemical Safety Focus
Come join our recently expanding Safety Department in this all new position! The EHS Coordinator will develop and support Ultradent's national environmental and safety initiatives in both a corporate and manufacturing environment. As an EHS Coordinator you will assist in building a culture that supports safety & environmental compliance. You will also function as a subject-matter expert in order to advise staff and management to achieve localized ownership and true, lasting improvements in the safety & environmental program.
Communicate identified or reported EHS issues to the Safety Manager and actively assist in resolution of issues.
Define, develop, create, deliver, and track effective chemical safety and environmental compliance programs and training for adult learning methods.
Effectively interact with internal customers and external agencies and resources.
Participate in EHS audits, risk assessments, and inspections and ensure closure of corrective actions.
Champion employee involvement to identify and address safety and environmental concerns.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, occupational safety, environmental protection, or other related field and at least 2-3 years of experience.
Working knowledge of EPA/DEQ, OSHA, and DOT/Hazmat laws, standards, and regulations governing manufacturing sites (including RCRA, SPCC, Hazcom, etc.).
Familiarity and prior experience with chemical safety practices including safety data sheet catalog development and maintenance, incompatibilities, storage requirements, fire code, etc.
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
Ability to create and present environmental and safety information to large and small groups of people across diverse levels of the organization.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
Ability to work well individually and in a team setting and to be self-motivated with little supervision.
Ability to obtain Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification within 2-3 years
Possess and exemplify the values upon which Ultradent is built.
Must love the smell of mint and bubble gum toothpaste.
