Advanced Radar Cyber Systems Engineer
SEG is seeking a Cyber Security Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s Advanced Radars Acquisition Programs. The position support the navy program Executive Offices for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS). No specific radar experience is needed but radar experience could be helpful.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to Systems/Subsystems/Software Requirements generation; Design assessment; Verification Testing including Test Plan and Procedures review and test witnessing; Cybersecurity Requirements Analysis; STIGs/Scans compliance testing and POA&M reviews; Combat System Integration (Inherited and shared capabilities) to include software development; and Cooperative Vulnerability and Penetration Testing support.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience providing information assurance, engineering, or operational support to the DoD, including supporting information operations, cyber operations, system administration, and systems security. 3+ years of experience evaluating the cyber compliance of a system against DoD Cybersecurity policies
OTHER: (SSE) with Security Plus, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
Knowledgeable in Technical Information Systems Engineering, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), C++, Coverity, network security architectures, radars, Aegis Combat System, Ship Self Defense System, and/or DoD acquisition, are preferred.
Security Clearance: Candidates for this position must have a SECRET level security clearance.
Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, CISSP, CASP
Desired skills and criteria:
Master of Science Degree in an Engineering/Cyber Security related discipline.
Knowledge in Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance.
Experience working in an acquisition program office environment, with documentation, protocols, formats, and deadlines.
Above Water Sensors experience
Systems engineering background and experience with hardware/software integration
Work Location: Flexible home base (Primarily in Columbia, MD or Dahlgren, VA), with travel to customer primary site at the Washington Navy Yard (1-2 days week as needed). Occasional travel in the Washington DC area possible, as well as rare national travel to support customer meetings.
