Goodwill Industries of NY/NJ is seeking a strong Store Manager who is, sales-driven, customer-service oriented, and extremely operationally efficient to join their Pequannock, NJ Team.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred; 2+ years of retail management experience in a large or multi-department store.
Ability to supervise and train direct reports in all aspects of store operations. Ability to read and communicate clearly in an efficient and effective manner; English language is required. Ability to effectively respond to questions from employees, clients, customers, and management staff. Ability to calculate figures such as, discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of Point of Sales systems is mandatory.
Job Duties: Achieve or exceed budgeted sales and production goals and control expenses; Recruits, hires, trains, schedules and supervises store staff including volunteers; Maintains a safe working/shopping environment; Completes paperwork and reporting as required including payroll, HR/New Hire paperwork, sales reports, safety/incident reports, etc.; Ensures donated goods are processed in a timely manner with maximum efficiency, ensuring pricing and grading standards are followed; Oversees and ensures compliance of salvage procedures; Maintains merchandising guidelines through colorization and inventory classification; Displays excellent customer service.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends; Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 pounds; Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; May work outdoors with exposure to weather conditions, car/truck fumes and loud noise.
Scope of Supervision: Serves in a leadership and supervisory role to assigned store location but may be temporarily reassigned to continue training; Directly supervises assistant manager, sales people, and production staff.
