We are based in Norwood, Massachusetts, which is comfortably within the Boston metropolitan area. The Production Scheduling Specialist is a value-added member of our Supply Chain team. The specialist will become familiar with our ERP systems and develop an understanding of how sales forecasting coincides with the schedule and our material requirement planning process. An understanding of the production process will be key to success. Data accuracy for this position is a must, as is a desire to learn and continuously improve.


Work with the procurement team to track deliveries and changes to delivery appointments
Update the scheduling and MRP tool with daily production and sales orders
Input and understand changes to both raw material and finished goods inventory balances within the scheduling and MRP tool
Analyze discrepancies between production consumption and theoretical BOMs
Create and manage production orders in Microsoft Navision
Issue purchase orders to co-packers and monitor completion through a reconciliation between expectations and receipts
Maintain VMI spreadsheets and to ensure inventory is available for all promotions
Solve short term scheduling issues with a cross functional team including Production Managers and Customer Service
Work with Demand Planner and Sales Planning team to understand impacts of forecast changes
Manage scheduling and tracking of all R&D test runs
Work with interdepartmental teams, including sales, marketing, R&D, regulatory, engineering, logistics, purchasing and finance departments to efficiently launch new items
Provide support to the Operations Planning Manager through ad hoc projects
Other duties as assigned


Bachelor's degree with GPA of 3.5 or higher or
2+ years of experience in supply chain to include master scheduling/material planning in a food/beverage environment preferred
Understanding of sales and operations planning, including direct correlations to MPS/RCCP/MRP
Exposure to ERP systems in relationship to multiple level BOM's, Work Centers, Forecasts, Capacity Planning, MPS, and MRP
General knowledge of MRP, including lot size, lead time, scrap factors, yield factors, and safety stock
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and project management skills
Proven prioritization skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing
