The Paid Media Specialist will plan, execute, manage and optimize Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Display Advertising initiatives that drive web leads and engagement, exemplify digital best practices and innovation, and promote Optum in the marketplace.

The Paid Media Specialist will work closely with a cross-functional team comprised of Program Management, Analytics, Social Media, SEO and Digital Campaign Management to execute best - in - class campaigns designed to align with our marketing partners’ business objectives and optimize the user - experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
Strategically plan, develop and proactively manage and optimize Paid Search, and Display Advertising campaigns that are designed to align to our partners’ business objectives and target audience needs
Make budgetary recommendations to marketing partners to help them plan their paid media spend
Enable best - in - class landing page experiences to ensure campaign traffic has a seamless and engaging user experience that ultimately improves satisfaction, task completion, and conversion
Work with Analytics team & leverage analytics solutions to interpret efficacy of various digital campaigns
Interpret insights gleaned from campaigns and share with the team and marketing partners
Align to team priorities, and embody in every day interactions the Digital Marketing Organization (DMO) team’s high quality, timeliness, impactful communication and innovation standards
Understand how digital fits within and impacts larger marketing mix to ensure synergy among target audiences

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Marketing OR a related field
3+ years of digital marketing experience
2+ years of experience in Display Advertising (from media planning to execution and ad trafficking), Pay per Click (PPC) Advertising, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Knowledge of and / or experience with Adobe Audience Manager or similar data management platform
Must be able to continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge
Ability to travel less than 5% in US Overnight for team meetings and conferences

Ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast - paced, deadline - driven environment
Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross - departmental team
Must have excellent analytical, critical thinking, organizational and documentation skills
Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
Ability to quickly assess a situation and offer solutions / recommendations
Must be self - sufficient and have excellent English oral and written communications skills
