We are well known for our Clorox® Pool & Spa™ (under license), Pool Time® and Pool Essentials® products in North American retailers. Our professional channels in North America include BioGuard® (also in Australia & South Africa) and Natural Chemistry™, with our Bayrol® brand all across Europe.
We are seeking a Retail Service Account Rep to help increase sales and address customer needs within specific geographical sales regions of the world’s largest retailer of pool and spa supplies.
The Retail Service Account Rep’s responsibilities include presenting our products and services within a specific retail channel, identifying specific consumer characteristics and recommending ways to promote and sell our products. To be successful in this role, one should have excellent communication abilities and be highly motivated to meet sales goals. Ultimately, the position will help us grow within each region and improve our line's presence in each assigned region.
Essential Job Functions:
Act as a point of contact for existing regions of retailer within assigned territory
Identify regional opportunities and challenges within the territory’s districts
Report on regional sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually)
Present our products and services to store teams as well as management
Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions within stores
Work closely with managers and other internal teams to meet individual and group sales quotas
Answer customer questions about features, benefits and additional services
Cross-sell products, when appropriate
Collaborate with sales representatives from different territories to share best practices and support a cohesive sales approach
Areas of need within the regions:
Precision sales and technical training
Longer and more structured visits with goals and take away objectives
Increased DM and store manager focus to make the senior managers true experts with coordinated schedule of focus that mirror retailer’s marketing efforts
Coordinate and host in-store sales events
Coaching emphasis within the stores to combat turnover
Ultimate goal - create advocacy within the stores
College degree preferred
1-2 years of independent retail or account management experience
Outside sales experience with overnight travel
Strong Microsoft Office skills and working knowledge – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Ability to use MS Outlook, create spreadsheets, and basic computer operations while traveling
Ability to manage time effectively
Presentation and public speaking skills
Highly self-motivated individual
