The Foundation Development Manager will oversee fundraising for the Minnesota Vikings Foundation and relations with all existing and potential donors. The position will focus on prospecting, donor stewardship, event fundraising, and management of the team’s donor software systems. In collaboration with other Foundation staff, this individual will help shape the philanthropic engagement of the Vikings organization and Minnesota Vikings Foundation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Aggressively seek new funding sources and maintain relationships with past and existing donors.
Responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major individual and corporate donors.
Cultivate all options for growing Foundation donors and creating an analytical system for maximizing the value of these contacts.
Manage all aspects of the Minnesota Vikings Foundation’s software tools including donation platforms, CRM tools, and digital giving sites.
Research and identify potential grant opportunities to support team and foundation community programming.
Assist with the development of Board of Director initiatives to improve fundraising, aid in operation of Foundation Advisory Board, and report regularly to Board of Directors on fundraising progress and new opportunities.
Work collaboratively with other departments to identify areas of economic support for team programs and projects. This includes exploring corporate partner and sales relationships.
Identify and implement new ways to engage Vikings fans within the Foundation’s mission as a part of Vikings game days and other team special events.
Work with the events team to create fan driven opportunities to raise Foundation funds. This would include management of traditional events such as the golf tournament and Taste of the Vikings while developing new event fundraising opportunities.
Connect as a member of the larger Social Impact team and integrate Foundation objectives as part of this larger community and philanthropic philosophy within the organization.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a four year degree.
Required four years of experience in the areas of annual giving, capital campaigns, foundation/corporation solicitations or deferred giving.
Fundraising experience in a non-profit setting with particular emphasis on donor stewardship and event fundraising.
Proven history of working collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
High character and strong work ethic.
Ability to take ownership of projects and follow through to completion.
Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products and relevant experience with non-profit donor management software tools.

Travel locally and regionally will be required for the implementation of community activities, events, fundraising, and programming
Maintaining a flexible schedule will be required as programming will often take place on nights and weekends. Increased hours during the course of the football season is expected.
