The ASSISTANT SHOP LEADER is responsible for supporting the Shop Leader in creating a positive environment that maintains and exceeds Floyd's service standards in client service, retention of clients and staff, technical services, and in-shop safety standards. The Assistant Shop Leader must be on the floor taking clients and be proficient in all areas of cutting.

- Act as the Leader on Duty (LOD) when Shop Leader is not present.
Demonstrate high standards of client service and brand image.
Educate employees and encourage upselling of services and retail.
Interviewing, hiring, and orientation process.
Communication of company updates, including service and sales promotions, education and marketing events, and operational initiatives in monthly shop meetings.
Month End, Inventory, and Purchase Order management.
- Attend at least one leadership meeting per quarter.
Have knowledge of state Barbering and Cosmetology rules and regulations. Enforce and hold employees accountable for complying.
- Maintain safety, follow and enforce all policies and procedures of Floyd’s 99.
- Other duties as assigned by Shop Leader.
- 1 or more years of employment with Floyd’s 99 or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
If technical, individual sales and service metrics must consistently meet or exceed shop averages.
Active Cosmetology or Barber license if technical Employee.
Successful completion of Floyd’s 99 LIT program.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to build and promote a culture of service and teamwork.
