Corporate Finance Manager – GM Defense LLC

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managingthe finances of GM Defense LLC, including financial planning, management offinancial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting compliant with GovernmentCost Accounting Standards (CAS). This position reports directly to the CFO of GMDefense LLC., and will be part of the larger GM LLC Global Product DevelopmentFinance team.

Key Responsibilities
Financial compliance with Government Cost AccountingStandards (CAS) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Compilation and analyses of direct and indirect costrates under government contracts.
Support Controller’s staff on journal entries requiredfor CAS compliance.
Prepare the annual budget and 5 yearmid-term plan.
Lead various strategic cost analyses,including business cases and “what if” scenarios.
Finalize, review and report the monthlyfinancial results.
Prepare and review the monthly financialscorecard (including budget vs. actual analyses, budget vs. forecast, actualvs. forecast analyses, quarterly/year over year actuals, and cost managementdata). Present scorecard results to GM Defense leadership team.
Monitor cash balances and cash forecast andarrange for financing, as required.
Strategize and develop business cases tosupport integration of GM’s product portfolio into GM Defense applications.
Interact with Federal and independent auditors duringcompliance, incurred cost, and indirect rates reviews related to governmentsponsored projects.
Maintain philosophy of continuous process improvement,development and standardization of processes and analytic models.

Citizen of the United States of America.
5+ years of experience in a cost or financial function containing regulatory compliance with government contract terms as a key job responsibility.
Experience in the development of compliant costing rates mandated by government cost accounting regulations.
Ability and willingness to regularly read, digest, and analyze complex Government statutes and regulations and apply them to cost collection and reporting requirements under government agreements.
Knowledge of federal procurement rules and policies.
Strong knowledge of financial and managerial accounting principles as demonstrated by education, employment history and professional certifications.
Strong data analysis and modeling skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, ability to act independently using good business judgment, and ability to drive consensus and drive execution.
Ability to take initiative and deliver quick results.
Ability to travel to support project needs.
Professional certification or MBA with concentration in Accounting or Finance.
Long-term assignment – minimum 3-5 year commitment.
