Lead Scheduler

Position Description: As Lead Scheduler you will be responsible to lead a cross-functional team environment in the development and oversight of construction related project planning and scheduling. The Lead Scheduler will oversee the Schedulers and report to the Projects Control Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Project Team to develop, maintain and manage the project in a Primavera P6 schedule; to include ROW Acquisition, Utilities relocation, design, Construction and close-out activities
Create and prepare logical Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) while leading team planning sessions related to WBS structure and sequencing
Prepare estimates and forecasts during the life-cycle of the project, responsible for reporting schedule deliverables to the project team and the Client
Create master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion deadlines
Lead the baseline schedule creation and approval effort for projects
Lead in the creation of comprehensive schedule submissions utilizing Critical Path Methodology (CPM), resource and cost loading, baselining, coding and cost accounts
Determines reasonable schedule logic, duration and constraints based on Interactive Planning sessions with Project Teams
Thoroughly execute scope, drawings, specifications and performs mathematical calculations to determine work flow, tools, and resource (labor, material and equipment) requirements
Review, analyze, report and adjust project metrics to include, but not limited to critical path, cost loading, schedule content, variance analysis, earned value, and more
Utilize critical path analysis and what-if scenarios to fully support the project team
Perform spot check site inspections to assess actual progress
Put together issue folders to capture impacts and delays to schedules and recommend mitigation / recovery schedules; Prepare time impact analysis and data needed for change orders and time & cost related claims
Suggest corrective actions and develop recovery plans over potential delays captured above
Advise executive/program management on cost/schedule management tools and processes
Develop processes that require innovation and ingenuity
Create, manage and monitor project schedules; Cost load and resource load schedules
Communicate with the Client and the affected 'Users' often both verbally and in written reports
Direct contract delivery and negotiate with the contractors

Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in construction or related field preferred
5+ years’ experience in the construction industry
Licensed and/or certified professional (PMP, LEED, etc.) a plus
Experience in developing complex construction schedules required
Proficient in P6 (Primavera) required
Extensive Building Experience in commercial/facilities building projects preferred
Ability to drive the creation of a construction schedule
Excellent written and verbal skills
