The YMCA of South Florida’s Miami Youth Development Team is looking for experienced Dance Coaches. The Dance Coach plans and implements dance practices and instruction to youth participants. In addition, this individual will act as liaison between the site director and the staff, dispersing group communications.
Plan age-appropriate dance practices for YMCA participants.
Develop lesson plans for the Dance program and prepare the dance team for future performances.
Track participant’s attendance and progress.
Partner with the Site Director, and Program Director to coordinate and promote the Y’s Dance program throughout the community.
Recruit and train Dance volunteers
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Minimum of 3 years formal Dance / Cheerleading training, preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
Bilingual, English and Spanish, a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Certificates and Licenses:
State approved CPR/ First Aid/ AED certification must be current, or obtained within 90 days of employment
As a condition of employment, you will be required to submit to and satisfactorily clear a thorough Level II fingerprinting background screening.
