Full-Time, Rotating -24/7 accountability with the ability to create a presence on all shifts between 2 sites (Ascension Providence Hospital Southfield Campus, Ascension Providence Hospital Novi Campus).

What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension Michigan, you will have the opportunity to lead and directs patient care services, workflow and resources.

You will:
Develop departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
Direct clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
Plan, organize and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.
Prepare and monitor budget(s) and ensure that assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds. Coordinate and direct internal and externally-driven audits.
Cultivate a work environment that encourages interdepartmental cooperation, problem-solving, and service delivery. Implements management practices that support accountability and outcome achievement.
Demonstrate leadership skills consistent to the organization's core values and nursing mission, vision and philosophy. Coach, mentor, and develop the 10 principles of leadership across the organization.
Demonstrate the responsibilities and competencies of the Mgr-Nursing.
Set direction that is consistent with the organization's strategic plan, system priorities, and overall healthcare trends. Collaborate with CNO, physicians and other departments to plan and achieve objectives.
What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
Nursing specialty board certification at time of hire/transfer required.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with the State of Michigan required.

One or more of the following:
Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.

Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree
Bachelor's degree required
Master's Level Degree
Master's degree required.
One of the above degrees must be in Nursing

Work Experience:
3 years of Nursing Management experience.
