Immigrants First, PLLC is an established, mid-sized immigration firm with an excellent reputation, located in Manassas, VA. The firm has clients throughout the DMV and nation-wide. The firm has a very high success rate of winning cases and is very involved in state and national policy and training on immigration law issues, including for judges, lawyers, community leaders and foreign nationals. We are a collaborative and friendly firm with excellent training both formal and informal for all members of staff.
About the Position:
We are seeking a full-time lawyer to handle general immigration matters, including custody orders for special immigrant juvenile status cases, which requires Virginia admission. Ideally, the lawyer would have experience of a minimum of one year in immigration, especially in removal defense, SIJS, U & T visas, VAWA and waivers, however, if the attorney is Virginia admitted, at a minimum, the firm will train on immigration law.
Must be excellent advocate for clients both in writing and orally and be enthusiastic about going to court. The attorney hired will have many opportunities for professional growth, receiving feedback, participating in paid CLEs, and networking. The position is both salary and incentive-based, with benefits. We are looking for someone who is motivated and dedicated to immigration law, and who is passionate about helping clients and assisting their fellow colleagues with casework. It is a hybrid position with up to two days working from home.
Our team has a robust administrative support staff to support attorney duties such as: extensive client interaction, declarations, conducting country and case-law research, brief writing and representing clients before USCIS, EOIR, the Circuit Courts of Appeal, DOL and DOS.
Specific Requirements Include:
- An active bar license in Virginia and clean criminal record
- Ideally, but not required, one-year experience in immigration law and/or special immigrant juvenile custody cases. Salary is based on experience.

- Attention to detail, strong work ethic and accountability

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
