This position is responsible to assist in the monthly financial closing. Responsibilities may include account analysis, preparation of journal entries, accounts receivable and cash receipts postings, accounts payable coding, prepaid and cash reconciliations, fixed asset analysis and year-end audit requirements. Assistance with monthly billings may also be required.

Assist with the monthly financial closing
Prepare various account analysis
Prepare monthly reconciliations including cash
Assist in preparing accounts receivable aging
Assist with monthly billing
Assist with budget reporting
Assist with accounts payable
Prepare journal entries
Assist with time sheet review
Assist with prepaid and accruals
Assist with inputting budgets and invoices to various systems
All other duties as assigned
Assist and serve as back up in the processing of bi-weekly payroll through ADP and processing of weekly time-cards in SL
Assist employees with resolving time-card related issues
Work and Education Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
1-2 years at most of experience in general accounting
Excellent computer skills (Excel)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of GAAP
Familiarity with Government Contracting Accounting software a plus.
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports to business leaders, managers and staff. Ability to speak effectively before managers, staff and customers.
MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, businesses and community.
