Landscape Field Supervisor


To keep up with our exciting projects we are currently looking to hiring a Landscape Field Supervisor with experience in the green industry. We are artists in landscape design and construction and we are looking for creative personalities! A Donald Pell Gardens Manager is completely responsible for the success of his or her projects including safety, customer contact and satisfaction, training, team building, production, and overall landscape/Garden installation and service.


Candidate should possess knowledge of planting, hardscaping, masonry and storm water management procedures, plant identification, maintenance procedures, and the ability to read and implement plans and details. A Donald Pell Gardens Supervisor will be required to have a working knowledge of all equipment utilized in landscape design/build, as well as the ability to train crew members on the use and safety precautions of all equipment and materials. This candidate must also be organized and have the ability to run a crew of at least 3 people. This foreperson must have the ability to nurture a working environment of high quality installations, efficiency, safety and excellence through example with insistence on the same from others. A degree in landscape contracting, horticulture or business management is preferred or equal experience

  • Valid PA drivers license and medical card
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 3+ years experience
  • Low Voltage Lighting and Irrigation knowledge
  • A good knowledge of plant material and horticultural practices
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather Duties
  • Read and implement landscape, hardscape and stormwater management plans
  • Set grades and elevations for patio, walkway, retaining wall and stormwater installations a plus
  • Train crew members on correct equipment use and safety
  • Train crew members on installation procedures to promote growth from within
  • Communicate daily with crew members, clients, and office
  • Communicate with client on project progress and change orders
  • Complete daily paperwork for projects including job costing
  • A strong work ethic
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Keep trucks, tools and equipment neat and organized and report issues
