DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Creates robust tools to monitor and manage manpower resources and track project development progress
Develops software to facilitate and automate greater global collaboration
Maintains tools based on fluctuating needs of the department
Maintains knowledge base related to current development tools and updates
Archives project materials ensuring they are useable on future projects
Troubleshoots localization related technical issues and provides broader IT support for group of 60+ members
Works with highly sensitive and confidential material on a regular basis. Works with Product Testing Technicians to troubleshoot development environment related issues
Works with technical staff at Nintendo Company Limited (NCL) and Nintendo of Europe (NOE) to support and develop add-ons to existing software tools
Less than 10% travel, domestic and international
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years database development experience in a dynamic environment, ideally with these technologies: MongoDB and PostgreSQL
Experience with source control and writing software collaboratively
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software development technologies
DevOps skills to manage department servers often containing confidential information
Working knowledge of UI/UX design
Familiarity with character codes (meaning Unicode, JISW, etc.)
Basic understanding of network systems (including Subversion)
C# 7.0 or later and WPF experience (for Windows application development)
Moderate to advanced networking experience
Experience with data analysis
Experience writing software tests
Experience with Linux environments, Docker, and scripting/server automation
Familiarity with Translation Tools/Software
Japanese language preferred
An undergraduate degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent
Valid passport may be required
