What You’ll Do
As a Consumer Insights Manager, you’ll be part of our Black and Decker Accelerator team located in Towson, MD. Specifically, you’ll:
Build and contribute to foundational understanding of the Tools and Storage categories, the SBD suite of brands – especially the Black and Decker brand, and the key global markets in which SBD competes. Understand overall brand health and positioning. Monitors trends and competitive dynamics
Bring deep understanding of the consumer and shopper to business teams. Understand consumers’ path to purchase, including barriers and drivers of engagement. Measure and evaluate the consumer and shopper experience and proposes optimization solutions. Track and interpret web and digital media analytics to support brand strategies
Create and implement a strategic learning plan to identify data needs, research methods, analytics tools, and budget needs to address the most critical questions for the business. Guides specific research development and execution using expertise in a wide variety of research methods
Synthesizes disparate data and transforms it into actionable insights influencing decisions and behaviors of cross functional leadership. Makes recommendations grounded in consumer and market knowledge and guided by a broader understanding of the business
Oversees research and data supplier relationships. Vets agency partners for capabilities, selects suppliers to partner with and shares experiences openly with the consumer insights community
Helps to build and grow a Global Insights group. Seeks out and shares knowledge on emerging research and analytic methodologies. Builds advocacy for sustained organizational investment in consumer and shopper understanding. Coaches and mentors more junior level insights professionals. Future opportunity to manage a team of insights analyst
