The NBC News Brand Studio is an award-winning team of journalists and creative storytellers that works with clients across the entire advertising spectrum to develop and produce compelling, engaging, newsworthy stories. The production specialist reports to the senior director of video production and supports all aspects of the administration, commissioning, planning and producing of video branded content for the NBC News Brand Studio. Qualified candidates will possess a foundation of video production skills, a great eye for detail in order to track client notes and corresponding video edits, and excellent time management skills in order to hit strict deadlines.
Throughout full production cycles support communications with and management of production vendors, internal stakeholders across marketing and other NBCU teams (ie Legal/Business Affairs), from pre-production through final delivery
Assist in developing and writing-up creative for video concepts that address client KPIs and messages and deliver value/entertainment for the target NBC News audiences
Create and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery of all materials for campaigns
Track progress on all greenlit video projects
Attend video shoots as acting liaison between production companies and clients and ensure creative is effectively executed
Process and track all invoices and payments, setup new vendors as needed, and track spend across projects
Manage video archive of all final assets for completed projects
Assist Director of Video and greater News Brand Studio team as needed across pre-sale, pre-production, production, post, and publishing
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge and familiarity with video production and media sales process
- Creativity and experience with creative development process
- Resourcefulness and the ability to work effectively and independently, without constant supervision
- Ability to work well with others both internally and externally on all creative content needs
- Enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, self-motivation and flexibility
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to proofread
- Digital-editing skills
- Knowledge and experience of social media platforms
- Time management skills, including the ability to keep to tight deadlines
- Word processing and research skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
