This position is a critical component of the FCS Foundation leadership team. The Volunteer Program Manager is responsible for recruitment, screening, training, scheduling and recognizing Patient Support volunteers in over 50 FCS clinic locations. This position is also responsible for recruiting volunteers in the FCS Foundation office to provide administrative support for Client Services and the Volunteer Program, as well management of volunteers at special events and fundraisers.
The Volunteer Program Manager reports directly to the FCS Foundation Executive Director.
This position will support territories south of Tampa, Florida.
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience recruiting and managing volunteers in a non-profit setting
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; to include public speaking ability
Attention to detail and a self-starter
Work on weekends and evenings occasionally required
Ability to travel extensively within the State of Florida as needed
High degree of office management and administrative skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite is a must (will be given an assignment at time of interview and will be requested to create a MS-Word document, Excel Spreadsheet and PowerPoint presentation to determine level of proficiency.
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and comply with the provisions of the FCS Motor Vehicle Policy
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Non-profit, Management, Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
Experience working with senior leadership
Tracking and reporting of progress to management and a board of directors
Experience with Volgistics and on-line volunteer program management software
