The Department of Biology at Bellarmine University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach one laboratory section of Vertebrate Physiology (BIOL314L) during the Fall Semester 2018. The course description for BIOL314 is as follows: "The study of vertebrate function, emphasizing the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of homeostatic mechanisms in cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems. Integrated control processes at all levels will be included." The class consists of upperclassman undergraduate students majoring in Biology or Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. Topics covered in lab include introduction to physiological concepts, basic tissues, neurophysiology, EEG, EMG, ECG, respiratory and pulmonary function. Lab section time: Tuesday 3-6PM. The fall semester extends from 08/23/2018 to 12/05/2018.
Minimum of Master's degree in Biology, Physiology or related field required with academic training in vertebrate physiology. Experience teaching vertebrate physiology at the undergraduate level is preferred.
