This position is responsible for the sales of the Company’s Casino and Gaming Market printer products and services into targeted Casinos and Gaming Establishments. The position will focus efforts on the Midwest US market casino customers and prospects. Inclusive of this, the candidate regularly plans, schedules and conducts customer meetings, attends relevant trade shows, does custom presentations, provides first line technical intervention and training, prepares quotes, identifies new customer prospects, and monitors/achieves sales goals as defined by management.
The candidate is capable to represent in casino sales calls and key industry meetings; technical standards meetings, gaming regulatory meetings, casino systems forums, and casino association meetings. The candidate must be comfortable in mid to high-level executive meetings and will build relationships with day-to-day Casino Operations, IT, Marketing, and Purchasing contacts. The candidate may be called upon to give technical seminars regarding the products of the company.
The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with a master’s degree preferred and have a minimum of four years of selling experience particularly into the gaming market or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate should have a solid understanding of electro-mechanical and computer technology and a very strong knowledge of all company products. The candidate should have an advanced level of understanding of the US Casino and Gaming industry. The candidate must have good communication skills, oral and written, organizational skills and planning skills. The candidate should be proficient in using the MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software. Extensive travel across the US is required.
Nature and Scope
The candidate reports to the Senior Vice President, Casino, Gaming and Lottery. No one reports to the candidate.
The candidate is responsible for providing sales and service related support on the product lines. In this regard, the candidate interfaces regularly with US customers with the major emphasis on conducting Sales and Technical calls on Casino Properties. Specifically, the candidate personally visits customers and prospects as required to promote and sell company products. Internally, the candidate will be the account lead for all customer related actions with Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Technical Support. The candidate will work closely with SVP and Inside Sales to maximize sales growth in defined market territory.
The candidate develops strategy plans for implementation of sales. From “call in” inquiries, the candidate develops leads for potential sales. The candidate acquires marketing and product information from the field and conveys this information to engineering and marketing personnel.
The candidate maintains sales call records in company CRM system, Salesforce, reporting all sales contacts including visits, telephone conversation, and e-mail communications. Timely follow-up with customers is an on-going activity.
In the order-processing arena, the candidate manages customer interface and order process through strong inside sales and technical support team. The candidate tracks customer leads/inquiries through the company’s Salesforce database.
The candidate is expected to refer unusual issues/situations to the Senior Vice President, Casino and Gaming to keep the business up-to-date with trends in the marketplace.
Provide increase sales volumes and profits from the Midwest US Casino market area. Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas for printer and systems sales through the effective account management of Casino accounts.
Manage and maintain existing business relationships and prospect for new business opportunities within the Midwest region. Identify, qualify, propose and win new business / projects.
Develop, present and implement an overall territory sales plan using appropriate time management, planning and sales techniques to drive casino demand.
Contribute to the planning and forecasting process to ensure that the Company has relevant customer and market information to meet demand and ensure adequate product supply.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations relating to Company products at customer locations, trade shows, and other relevant meetings.
Identify the competitor’s edge and their strategies in order to develop competitive offers and effective selling strategies. Recommend product roadmap enhancements or pricing adjustments.
Work with marketing to develop marketing programs, identify the targeted trade shows, and industry events, and provide information, staffing or support as required.
Attend Trade Shows, provide product literature/specifications, prepare quotes, monitor and achieve sales goals as defined by management.
Accurately maintain sales records within company CRM system, Salesforce, documenting all sales contacts including visits, telephone conversations, and e-mail communications. Identify potential major opportunities and resources required to succeed.
Collaborate with the Global Casino and Gaming team to manage global customer relationships. Be prepared to participate and contribute in GCG team meetings.
Be a product expert on the Casino and Gaming printer and systems products. Be prepared to do benchmark demonstrations outlining the key features and benefits of the products while customizing the demonstration to the particular customer requirements.
Be a self-starter with regular attendance at work, which will require regular travel to meet and develop in-depth customer relationships.
