The Senior Information SME will conduct Cyber security in assessment of standard operating procedure implementations; participate or lead planning and executing of National and IC cyber exercises; assisting in security controls testing, review test results as needed; and reviewing network scans for compliance with configuration policy. Alternatively, Senior Information Security SME may serve as the Senior Forensics Officer responsible for conducting forensics on expected compromised systems and networks in support of pursuit operations. If acting in this role, duties may include taking forensics images; analyzing PCAP and network traffic; or reverse engineering malware or suspicious software and applications.
Responsibilities include:
Read and implement IA regulations and requirements per CISO's direction; develop and maintain managerial, operational, and technical IA skillset
Comment on new ODNI/NIST standards / regulations as applies to client environment
Review A&A documentation to assess whether system is deployed as designed and approved
Ensure best practices of security requirements are deployed for an information system
Analyze scan results, and document findings for compliance
Develop assessment programs
Assist with cyber incidents as necessary
Assist with forensics and analysis when appropriate
Comment on new ODNI/NIST standards / regulations as applies to client environment
Employ best practices when implementing security requirements and working on or in a system
Participate in security exercises and working groups as applicable
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
Participates in special projects as required
Qualifications
Fifteen (15) years information assurance experience and/or cyber security experience with a bachelor's degree in a technical field. A minimum of five (5) years technical experience effectively providing network and/or system administration, information assurance security, testing, and evaluation.
CISSP, CISA or CISM, and be familiar/proficient in all security domains
Experience in leading cyber exercises is preferred
Effective interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate in written and oral form, publication, or presentation experiences a plus
Expert experience reporting IT Security events/incidents in the time prescribed based on policies and procedures
Knowledge of cloud architecture and FedRAMP security procedures
Preferred expert technical experience effectively provided network and/or system administration, and/ or computer operations
Knowledge of virtualization
Expert experience with forensics tools, Encase, IDA PRO, Wireshark, or similar capabilities, is preferred
