Front Desk Receptionist

The Dog Spot has an immediate opening for a full-time front desk receptionist (35-40 hours per week). Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekday mornings (6:30am-1:30pm), weekends and holidays. The receptionist's job is to give the customers a perfect first impression. That means greeting all customers and pups upon arrival, leading the guest check in/out process, answering phones/emails and assisting the kennel staff with dogs when needed. You must be a hardworking, motivated individual that has a great passion for dogs! Duties include, but are not limited to: answering phones/emails, making appointments, checking-in/out clients, recording and maintaining reservation requests and records, providing potential clients with tours of our facility, data enter applications and vaccination records, cleaning & disinfecting kennels, feeding, laundry, general housekeeping, administering medications, bathing, and providing socialization for pets. Must be at least 18 years of age, be a high school graduate or possess a GED, and possess and maintain a valid TN Driver's License. Must have a minimum one year of experience working in a kennel or veterinary environment with experience handling dogs. Please do not apply if you don't have any experience in this field. Qualifications: Comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes. Detail-oriented with the ability to think clearly in a face paced, busy environment. Ability to multi-task (answering phones, making appointments, handling animals, cleaning & disinfecting the facility, etc.). Great attitude with the pets, clients and co-workers. Great computer skills. Reliable, trust-worthy, compassionate, team player. Ability to perform duties without direction, self-starter. Ability to assist with basic grooming on dogs of all sizes once trained (bath, brush out, and nail trim). Must have references!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $10.00 to $13.00 /hour
