Love the water and helping kids learn new skills? The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is seeking swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants.

Applicants should be independently motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic with strong interpersonal skills. Applicants will work with students of all ages in one-on-one swim lessons using a wealth of teaching techniques and knowledge of swimming, help establish goals based on participants' needs, and seek to assist the participants achieve their goals. Private Swim Lesson instructors will be responsible for recording participants' progress through swim lessons and communicate directly with the participant to schedule, implement, and evaluate swim lessons with participants. We are looking for applicants who are comfortable working with diverse populations, who have a flexible schedule, and are familiar with swimming mechanics and techniques.
Candidates must have current CPR, AED, First Aid, and Administering Emergency Oxygen certifications. Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, or Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or WSI certifications are preferred but not necessary. We will provide training for interested applicants.
