As the only NoSQL vendor named a challenger in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for ODMS and with a track record of exceptional work with customers such as DIA, CMS, and OECD (as well as private sector companies like Chevron, J&J, and Sony), we’re looking for a highly motivated, audience-focused marketer to support our growing public sector business. The Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible for developing messaging and content in collaboration with technical and sales leaders and demand gen teams in each of our regions – North America, Europe & APJ.

IN-DEPTH:
As solutions marketing manager for public sector, you will be responsible for developing and implementing account-focused and persona-based messaging, marketing content, and sales tools that increase awareness and adoption of solutions built on the MarkLogic database platform. Your role will include opportunities to tackle both big-picture strategic challenges like developing plans to introduce new audiences to MarkLogic, and hands-on operational responsibilities including writing collateral, blog posts and web copy, planning and executing internal training and sales enablement, and delivering our message in meetings and presentations with external audiences.

The perfect candidate has a strong understanding of business and market drivers, a way with words, and the ability to challenge conventional thinking. You’ll work cross-functionally with technical subject matter experts, sales reps, demand gen campaign managers, and other members of the marketing team to help us successfully explain how amazingly useful MarkLogic solutions are for mission/program and technical stakeholders in the public sector.

POSITION SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of highly successful B2G software product or solutions marketing experience – you have a track record that you’re extremely proud of
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, especially writing – you are great at explaining complex information so people will understand, and you stay current with best practices in content marketing
Ability to create compelling messaging and content across channels, from concept to development – short form, long form, online, or offline; Challenger marketing experience is a plus
Strong team player with a positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work closely with Technical, Sales, Demand Gen, Design, and PR teams – you enjoy the process and are a master of synthesis
Exceptional project management skills and ability to juggle competing demands – you stay organized and know how to prioritize
Strong analytical skills, focused on customer and market research – you can gather and summarize data and also empathize with customers
Ability to evangelize the product, including acting as a thought leader – you are comfortable presenting to large groups
You’re generally passionate about solving the most important data problems that government agencies face around the world
Domain expertise in Public Sector (particularly the IC and DoD); databases or enterprise software is a plus
This position is full-time and is based in our office in Tysons Corner, one block from the metro.
