Position Summary:
Feeding Northeast Florida is seeking a full-time Receiving/Inventory Coordinator. Responsible for working with the Operations team to achieve overall continuity in systems, processes, quality, and inventory. Develops strategies for better and more efficient operations and inventory control. Provides statistical analysis of key measurements to management for short and long-term strategic planning. Works as team member by effectively communicating gap analysis and review of Standard Operation Procedures.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with Operations team to coordinate cycle counts/Physical inventory, audits for outbound agency orders, inbound receiving and salvage operations.
- Responsible for FIFO rotation of inventory in stock, and accuracy of inventory in system vs. actual. Part of Safety Committee, Recall Team.
- Responsible of monitoring the current inventories of our programs (purchase, school pantries, and anything added) and providing progress reports to appropriate staff.
- Use NetSuite inventory management system.
- Use of label printers, bar code scanners, and trains warehouse staff in usage.
- Oversees system transactions while working to ensure audit compliance in accordance with Feeding America guidelines. This includes (but not limited to): product adjustments, item transfers, donation receipts, new donor/agency/product file creation, and other data entry functions.
- Ensures that all products are in accordance with FIFO inventory standards, and ensures product is properly rotated to provide quality and reduce spoilage.
- Works with all managers to enforce policies and procedures and investigate irregularities to ensure accuracy of inventory. Analyze inventory discrepancies to determine cause and address with training / adjustments.
- Participates in and/or coordinate product recalls.
- Creates reports as required by Feeding NEFL, and helps provide statistical analysis to streamline Operations, Inventory and Procurement.
- Responsible for storage and retention of company records.
- Assists other Departments as needed.
- Assists other staff members with any support needed in the operation of the food bank.
- Creates and updates documents/forms as needed to help information flow throughout organization.
Job Qualifications
- Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with computerized inventory management system and understanding of inventory control practices.
- Background in the food industry strongly preferred, especially with RF Scanning/bar coding. Experience in hunger relief a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field desired.

- Candidate must have strong organizational, general warehousing knowledge, interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.
- Candidate must be motivated self-starter, team player and have demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Preferred pallet jack/forklift certification.
- Preferred ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.
- Pay attention to detail and be well organized.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal/written instruction to perform clerical support.
- Typing ability and Data Entry
Work Environment:
