This position supports the purchasing requirements of the hotel purchasing group on and off the fleetwide vessels.

Essential Duties

  • Works closely with hotel Purchasing Managers on needed administrative and clerical activities in order to follow the purchasing procedure cycle.
  • Communicates with vendors confirming orders and accuracy as needed.
  • Process invoices, payments, resolves any inaccuracies and follow up with vendors or comments from delivery.
  • Assists with warehouse activities such as receiving, organizing, palletizing and labeling of items as per Purchasing Managers specifications.
  • Maintains and organizes current or future purchasing systems software for ships and office.
  • Updates and organizes commercial invoices to ensure accuracy of delivered vs shipped items.
  • Communicates with onboard personnel regarding requisition status and anticipated delivery details.
  • Responsible for managing the Drop Ship program including interfacing with guests and some packing and shipping and accounting involved.
  • Responsible for Global Trading guest request items including communication, packaging and coordinating shipping as needed working with Logistics operations.
  • Assist hotel purchasing department by providing support and back up on day to day orders, vendor follow up, product sourcing as needed.

Preferred - Qualifications /Education / Experience

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Hospitality, Hotel or Culinary Management. 3 or more years previous hospitality/hotel/culinary purchasing experience in a passenger vessel environment.

Required - Qualifications /Education / Experience

Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Hospitality, Hotel or Culinary Management or 2-3 years hospitality/hotel/culinary purchasing experience.

Must have excellent organization, communication skills. Must have strong skills in time management, handling multiple tasks, setting priorities and meeting deadlines

Interest and appreciation of hotel and food purchasing

Data entry / Excel skills necessary / knowledge of RESCO, NS5 preferred.

This position must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Occasional travel may be required

Flexible schedule, work some holidays and weekends as needed

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license
