This position is located in the Garrison, Directorate of Emergency Services, Police / Provost Marshall Division, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The Garrison provides installation capabilities and services to support expeditionary operations in a time of persistent conflict, and to provide a quality of life for Soldiers and Families commensurate with their service.

You must be certified in the use of radar and breathalyzer operations.
You must pass the entry level physical ability test and annual recertification.
You are required to possess and maintain a valid driver?s license.
You must meet the requirements of Individual Reliability Program (IRP) in accordance with Army Regulation 190-56.
You must meet and maintain the requirements for access to classified information IAW AR 380-67 the Personnel Security regulation.
This is an obligated position.
You must be able to meet and maintain the selection and certification requirements in accordance with Army Regulation 190-30.
You must be certified in the use of police weapons, equipment, cameras, crime scene evidence collecting equipment, and automated police information retrieval systems.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience that provided knowledge of a body of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property, creditable specialized experience may be gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing visitor protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other natural resources or recreational environments. and performing criminal investigations duties; or in other work that provided the required knowledge or skills.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

This position authorizes the incumbent to carry a firearm.
